Human remains found buried under recently added concrete at a home in Plant City, Florida, are likely those of missing lottery millionaire Abraham Shakespeare, police said Thursday.
Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee said the body was slowly being uncovered. They are awaiting positive identification.
However, Gee said their investigation and information specifically led them to the area after they began to believe he might be dead because of "sinister means and motives."
"Our indications were it would be there," Gee said during a press conference Thursday night.
Police on Wednesday had scanned the newly finished concrete slabs near the home on Wednesday and... More...

Porn pays as student surfs sites
Tuesday, January 12, 2010
A college student who said his studies suffered after he discovered internet porn has been awarded 10,000 yuan (HK$11,358) for helping the government crack down on sexual content online.
The unidentified student at an unnamed college in northern Shanxi province reported 32 websites that contained pornography, winning a nationwide contest that has encouraged web-surfers to hunt down porn sites, state media said.
"In the past, when I was in middle school, I used to get grades that were good enough to enter a really good university," the Beijing News quoted the young man as... More...

Jan. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Hank Greenberg, former chief executive officer at American International Group Inc., said Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is responsible for the collapse of the insurer during the economic crisis, the Wall Street Journal reported.
?It certainly wouldn?t be difficult to come to that conclusion,? Greenberg is quoted as telling the newspaper yesterday.
Greenberg blamed new standards for credit-default swaps -- pushed by Goldman or Deutsche Bank AG, he said -- and subprime, housing-backed derivatives sold and then shorted by Goldman as contributing to AIG?s collapse, the newspaper reported.

A truck driver claiming to be a Taoist master was yesterday found guilty of duping a young model into having sex with him on the pretext it would improve her luck.
District Court judge Stanley Chan Kwong-chi postponed sentencing to January 21 pending a psychological report and remanded Au Yeung Kwok-fu, 55, in custody.
The self-proclaimed Mao Shan practitioner was convicted on nine counts of having unlawful sexual intercourse under false pretenses between April and December 2007. Au Yeung was bound over for HK$200 for an indecent assault conviction in 1974.

Oh boy what a crazy round for the AFL playoff. If you recall from my
previous blog, I made about 5 predictions:
- bulldogs ml
- carlton
blues ml
- bombers spread
- saints spread
- saints ml
Out of my 5 picks, I was only right about the saints. So that means I
am like 2-3 for the playoff. Bombers got pretty much destroyed. So I
was way off on that. I guess they were just lucky enough to make it into
top 8 this year. Well, at least they got some experience for the later
rounds. Bulldogs didn’t do well, it was close, but they still lost to the
cats. So I guess I am not that sad since cats is my favorite team. I
like to see the cats win it this year. Now Carlton blues game was a heartbreaker. They
were ahead the whole game, and then they just tanked it in the 4th quarter.
Lions scored like 30 pts in the final quarter and edged a win against the
blues. I still remember this game vividly because I was at a restaurant
with bunch of girls and they were talking about sex in the city and bunch of
other boring stuff, so I pretty much was watching the game the whole dinner.
I left the restaurant at the beginning of the 4th quarter and the blues
were ahead by more than 20 pts. So I thought that blues got the game in
the bag, but when I check the score the next morning, big surprise. I
give props to the lions. This is like how they were playing 2 years ago.
I remember betting the lions when I was in Thailand and I can only watch game
cast in those internet cafes. I always bet the lions spread, and they
always seem to cover by comfortable margin. Those games tend to be in the
afternoons, so I usually feel pretty damn good by dinner time.
Considering the Saints game is the last one of the week. I would say if I followed through with my
bets, I would end the week happy. With
this kind of capping standard, I should be pretty happy with my capping skills
for the week considering Lions win was really a fluke. Carlton Blues should have won that game.
I tried to look at the lines for the semi finals, but the lines are not out
at pinnacle yet. I will write another
review once the lines are out. For now,
I’ll probably go to afl.com.au and check out some highlights of the game. There are two matches coming up this
week. Friday is between the bulldogs and
the lions. Sat is between Magpies and
the Crows. My predictions will be that
bulldogs and pies will probably win it. The
reason is that they’re ranked higher in the season ladder, so I am guessing
bulldogs and the pies will be the favorites when the lines come out. Not sure what the spread will be. I am guessing Bulldogs -16, and Magpies -8
will be the fair spreads for the next two games. I’ll check the pinnacle lines when it comes
out. I hope that I am right about this.

Normally a professional gambler will tell you taking heavy chalks like that is really stupid. They would use arguments like +EV and statistic bullshit. You probably heard it before, if you play the games 16 times, Utah will probably lose 1 of them...that is if there is no juice. As you all know, there are shitload of juice in heavy chalks like that. So in reality, Utah will probably lose 1 out every 10 games they play against Utah State. Come to think of it, weird things does happen. For example, the Utah QB and RB can both get injured 1st Q or Utah could just keep making mistakes and throw away the game. But that is a big IF, everything need to go wrong for Utah and everything need to go right for Utah State for them to pull an huge upset like that.
As you all recall some of the memorable upsets from last year where Michigan got beaten by App St week 1 and USC got beaten by Oregon State. Huge upsets does happen, and you tend to wonder why the hell you risk a shitload to win a little when you watch the upset unfold. I've been there. Watching bunch of huge USC defense men trying to stop Oregon State's small freshman RB. Also watching McKnight fvck up so many times in that game just makes you wonder if the game is really rigged or god just hates you.
I can't really explain how huge upsets happens. I doubt anyone has the balls to bet Oregon St ML or App St ml. In those huge spread games, most people would just take the spread and get an even odds payout. Some people might take 4-5 huge underdogs in a week and hope one of them will hit. but that type of gambling is kind of annoying. Usually when you take huge underdogs, you'll be lucky they'll stay in the game by half time. Eventually, they'll just get blown out 2nd half. Not really fun to watch. If you bet the underdog spread, usually you'll be praying 4th Quarter that please let the 2nd string or 3rd string replace the chalk starters so you'll have a chance to cover the spread.
This is why taking huge money lines are good bets. Good not in a sense of smart bets, because to be honest, even i think those bets are pretty stupid. But it is pretty fun to bet. You know you always have those extra money left over from your betting account that is just sit there. Why not put those money on a heavy chalk and start celebrating after 1st quarter. That is why i think betting Utah money line is a pretty good bet because you'll have a good time watching the game and all your gambling money are working hard for you.
On the other hand, if Utah State end up pulling an huge upset, you would want to shoot yourself or possible try to kill me for telling to go all in on a heavy chalk. But you have to ask yourself, why are you gambling in the first place? if you can't take the loss, you shouldn't be gambling. Every gambler goes broke once a while...some goes bust more often than others. Just think of going bust as a way to liberate you from the daily grind. You'll be free from watching the lines everyday. So it is a win-win situation no matter what happens.
My pick for today: go all in on Utah ML

last week, collingwood magpies lost to western bulldogs by more than 24 pts, which let western bulldogs to able to bump up on their playoff spot. The top two heavy favorites in the AFL playoffs are saint kilda saints, which is ranked 1st as of now, and geelong cats, which is ranked #2 as of now. the last game of the regular season determine the playoff match up between saints, cats, pies, and dogs. since western bulldogs beat the pies by more than 24 pts at the pies stadium, they will be playing the cats rather than the saints. now collingwood will have a face the best team this year, which i doubt they'll win.
geelong cats has been good every year, but they lost to the hawks in the grand finale last year. funny thing is that the hawks lost to essedon bombers and is out of the playoff. the year before that, the western bulldogs was 2nd to the cats in the AFL ladder race. the cat will no doubt have a chance at winning everything this year, but usually the team that gets hot at the end will have a good chance win it all. this is similar in every sports.
for example the colorado rockies won 14 games staright to get into the playoffs. the stealers upset the colts with 1 bye game and win it all. i think bulldogs and the cats game will be very close. but, collingwood will be no match for the saints. if you notice the saints record in the later rounds, they have been losing to some not so good teams. i think they knew they already got the #1 spot locked up and there is no need to go for perfection. which is smart because as we all know what happens to the patriots when they try to go for perfect season and end up losing to the giants. lol

As you can see the saints are playing at home with almost even money ml odds. I think this is a great bet because the saints will certainly dominate the magpies in the game. I would take the -8.5 spread as well. It is only a goal and half to cover the spread, which is not a lot. However, Pinnacle has stopped posting total lines for AFL like 2 years ago. Those lines are pretty easy to beat. If they ever post a line on the pies and saints game, i would bet the under. If they post a line for regular season, i would bet the over.
The next big game I talked about earlier was the cats and dogs game. cats got the home field advantage here. they're slight fav to win it. as you all know, i love to bet chalks and i love the cats. so my natural reaction is take the cats ml. But as i said before, in playoffs, streaks plays a major role. Dogs just kicked Pie's ass the last game of the regular season. I see them as the hot team to beat the cats. So betting wise, I would take the bulldogs ml.
Another good bet is to take the bombers spread. Bombers won a shocker against the Hawks and entered the playoffs, so they're playing for not losing too bad. so i think they'll cover the 38 pts spread against the crows.
the final game is the blues vs the lions. I like the blues because they've playing better the 2nd half of the season.
So there you go fellas. Here are my AFL playoff picks in a nutshell:
- Bulldogs ML
- Saints ML, Saints Spread
- Blues ML
- Bombers Spread.
- no opnion on the bombers ml because that is a big chalk and i can see bombers pull an huge upset.
